hello again. im back, im fine, i start getting used to the life back home…allthough i still sometimes think about the life i had back in australia, and miss it. its allways gonna be like that.

i started putting pictures in the album. the outbacktour is there allready. the rest is comming soon. i hope you have fun looking at them. i leave you to it. and end this blog for good now.

thank you all for following me around australia. thank you for you comments. and i hope i inspired some of you to go out and travel, or do what ever you dream of. its worth it. and its never too late!!!

Home sweet Home

I stayed in the backpackers, till thursday. then i went to Davins place, and …well im still here now so… He had some friends over, and also i invited a freind i know from my german shooldays…so that was nice. and also today we went over to a friends place. the other guys from Bundaberg didnt come down like they said they would, but that life hey…

I guess its time to go to bed now. i have to get up early, and start my looong jurney home. It starts to feel really weird, but i do look forward to it. I wouldnt STAY here much longer, but im defenetly comming BACK one day!!!

well then.. i will come back to you when i am home…so dont give up the blog just yet…

Brisbane for the 2nd time

i have left Bundaberg for good. so now im back in brisbane. funny that the guy in the hostel even recognized me …

i had a great weekend in bundy. met my friends again, and relaxed. and now im back here. one of the bundy boys is living down here, so i might go and see him one day too, and maybe even stay there over the weekend, before its time to go home, but lets wait and see about that. in the meen time i COULD go and try to see a bit more of brisbane… but soon its time to go to bed..and i have to orgenize my stuff. god i have too much… :S …

whitsundays and back to the beginning!

I took the nightbus from Cairns to Airlie Beach. i slept a fair bit actually, so it wasnt too bad. then i booked a 3 day/2 night-sailing tour straight away for the next day. so i went out with the more or less old and beautiful wooden sailingboat “Enid” and her crew of two and 9 other tourists. it was a nice and relaxing trip. we didnt do much but relaxing on deck, take a swim/snorkle, eat good food and…relax a bit more.

after the tour i took the nightbuss once more. now down to Bundaberg, where i am now. i arrived around 7.00 this morning. around 10.30 i finaly found myself a bed for the next two nights!

its a bit funny being back here, where i kind of started this whole trip. I think i do have changed a fair bit. at least how i look at this traveling around aso. but its nice to be back, relax, maybe see some old faces again, and then…well head back home i guess… …

but now its time for breakfest!

Im back in Cairns for the night…that meens till the nioghtbuss takes me down to Airlie Beach.

I had a great time up in the Daintree Wildlife Zoo, with Gil and Donna and all the animals. Kangaroos jumping around, allways ready for a cuddle. birds singing or skreaming…what ever you prefer to call it, crocs that lay in the sun, or hide in the water, and cassoways looking for food all day long…

but now i have said good bye to my last hosts and form now on i will only travel for fun. try to relax and enjoy my last weeks down under. not that i havent done that till now but…

well…what more is there to say…. i have reseption on my phone again, so feel free to leave a message or something, but also keep in mind that my phone is about to die, and works only when it feels like it …

ok, i will go and find myself some food for the night and then a nice and SAFE spot to sit and wait till 12.25 tonight…i promised Donna to not sit at the bus station…its not safe its cute when people care:) but ill be fine im sure…

let you know next time i have something to tell

g’day hows it going?

So…im still in Cairns. i had one day more than i thought, because they booket me on the Cape tribulation tour tomorrow intead of today…well i dont mind. i get it for half the price. and then i got a call from a zoo up in daintree. they need help. so when i do the trip to cape trib tomorrow, i just jump off up there, and go wwoofing one last time. only for a week though. then i head down south. my time here is running out…we are talking about weeks now..not months.

but i am fine. I feel good. I relaxed in the sun yesterday, i went to the botanic gardens today, i chill out infrom of the TV, and eat crappy food! so i will miss seen new places when i get home, but i will also look forward to GOOD food and my own bed

well now. i say good bye for now and talk to ya later.

Kakadu NP, Litchfield NP, – Cairns

I did a three day tour to kakadu National park in Darwin. and then one day tour to Litchfield National Park. very nice trips. a small group(i actually had the same driver on both tours) we saw a lot of beautiful things. waterfalls, somw we could swim in, som not(crocodiles in the area remember!) rockart, that looked completely different than the ones i saw down in the south. a lot of green forrest and areas burnt down. birdlife like few places ive been before, and of course we saw some crocodiles too!

litchfild was the same in many ways, bu also very nice. because its easier to get there, there are more people there, both tourists and locals.

and 5 a clock this morning i flew over to cairns. it is even greener here(i think) just as hot as darwin. but it is a nice place. i dont really know what im gonna do here yet. i really wanted to go up to cape york and the northern tip of australia. but they dont open up this area before may…so i might just do daytours to cape tribulation and the reaf or things like that, and then go down towards sydney. maybe do the whitsundays if i have time and money…

im tired…my day has been a bit weird, since i never really slept. just a bit here and a bit there…just the way its gonna be on the way home i guess

ok, i try again to tell you a bit about my last two weeks. lets hope it works!

so, 4th of april we left Perth, with around 20 people in a awd truck. mostly irish, english, germans and some others. even one norwegian girl…not often you meet them!

on our way to broome we have seen a lot of great things:

the pinnacles(mostly rocks sticking out of the sand) gorges,monkey mia with the dolphins there, many many gorges in Karijini nationalpark. what a great place that was. two whole days there. 2-4 gorges a day. walking down, partly steep, partly through water up to our knees(my bottom!), doing the spiderwalk(the gorge is that small that you climpb with arms and legs on the walls) and suddenly your standiing infront of this amazing little pool!! so what else is there to do than jump in!!

we were a funny group of really different people, but we did find it really hard to leave half of the goupe behind after 8 days. they would go back to perth, while we cept going to broome. stopping at eighty mile beach aso before we got to broome. a small town, with long beaches, worm and humid weather and coconuts!

oh before i forget! when we were in Exmouth we had one day to do what ever we wanted. a small group of us went on a whaleshark trip for the day. you know whalesharks? yep, it IS a shark. but it is also the biggest fish in the world. the biggest one seen was around 18 metres long. they are harmless, but big(so they can still hurt you if they want to) if you dont know what i am talking about, and you live in norway, go and check out the thor heyerdahl museum in oslo. they have one there!

anyway. we went on the boat, jumpt in the water, to get used to it, and snorkle a bit around, then we went out in deeper water again, while the little plain was looking for sharks for us. and it found two in the fist hour. but they always dissapeard into the deap before we were there. so the day went by, with a bit more snorkeling(amazing with all the fishes and corals and stuff!!) but in the end we got some!!! two or three different ones. girls(they are smaller) young girls(even smaller) so we are talking about 3-4 metre! as the skipper were saying the younger they are, the more fun can it bee, for both, us and the shark.

it was just amazing to jump in the water. everyone is so exited. you dont see anything but the coulor blue, and suddenly there is this huge fish comming towards you!!…. WOW …. and i bet it thought just the same about us, cause it was just swimming around and around us….

the next time we jumpt in it weas another one. but it look pretty much the same.

God that was a cool day!!

(maybe i should swim with the killerwhales when i get home!! hihih)

anyway, i had a grerat time on the trip. it was very different than the outback trip, but good!

some hours ago i landed here in Darwin. its not really a big big city, but it looks nice. its dark now, but still warm.

and now a bit about my plans for the next week. I have already booked a flight to cairns on the 23rd of april. so im gonna be here a week. on friday i do a one day trip to litchfield NP, and on saturday a three day trip to kakadu NP.

soo…tomorrow i take a little look around here and…well…lets take the rest a bit later.

oh and yes, im in crocodile-country now! so thingsa that want to eat me: shark, crocodile, spider, snakes, jellyfish…aso. things that actually IS eating me: mossies!!

but my trip was amazing and im fine here in the tropics up in broome. tomorrow i fly up to darwin.

Perth to Broome

tomorrow morning kathryne(dianes sister…you know diane from tasmania) who i have been staying at here in perth, will drive me down to the bus station, where they pick me up, and then im off to broome. dont even start asking me what happens in broome, many people have allready. and to be honest, i dont know. its just the place the 10 day trip im gonna do ends. just like the one from adelaide to alice springs. a tour from Perth to Broome.
im just gonna stay in broome for two days, and then fly up to darwin. there i wanna have a little look around, before i eighter fly over to cairns, or brisbane. im not sure yet, different reasons to go this or the other way. but hey, im allready booked out to the 16th of april, thats pretty good. lets not book too much before we know whats comming. allthough i realize that my homecomming gets closer every day. weird,- thats what it is. people,- friends and family start talking about it as this huge journey, this fantastic expreience they cant wait to get a part of. im gonna do my best, but please, just realize allready now, that its a really hard job for me. i can show you pictures, i can tell you some stories, but you will never really understand how it was. it just gets too much, even for me. but for me its gonna be fun to go through all the picture, -like starting again. but for you its just gonna be like looking through a BIG book with pretty pictures… no, i bet you will have fun, but half of this trip is just hard to imagine, if you havent been here yourself. so dont even try or please do, or just go and do it yourself!! its a great place!!

hahaha..like im trying to sell australia hey!

ok, i bet this is one of those posts, where most of my friends and family say, …”i read it but i didnt understand it”..well sorry about that. i guess thats the best way of explaining what i just tried to say. you wherent there, your not in my head, you cant really understand!

ok, back to the point. im off tomorrow. dont know, could be that this time my phone works all the way through and that i have the chance to check my e-mail…maybe not, just wait and see. otherwise, ill be back in around two weeks!
