g’day , hows it going?
im still alife!
i had a great/fantastic/cool banana/wicked/amazing time in the outback! 10 days out there, where there is nothing else then the little group of 9, a 4wd, a dusty road, a pub here and there and…a landscape that looks more like the moon. great!!
we saw so many things. we climbed wilpena pound in the flinders range, we visited terry and the others in iga warta, we walked around uluru, we didnt see much of the sunset and the sunrise there because of cloudy and even rainy weather, we didnt care and had a beer on the roof of the car, we walked in the olgas/kata tjuta, we climbed kings canion and had a dip in the water hole in the garden of eden. and in between there, we drove for hourse without seeing anything else then sand, stone, a bearded dragon, and suddenly a pub and a house…and then back to nothing for hours. we were swimming in water holes, some cold, some up to 38 degrees, we saw a brown snake(one of the most deadly ones) a lot of old cars, dumped in the desert, we drank warm water and walked on red sand… I start to understand what people love about this country and what makes them come back! i can never live in the outback, allready when the lady in the opal mine in coober pedy said it can get up to 57 degrees in the summer, i know, this is not the place for me, but god do i love the place!!
facinating! thats the word. and Wayne the tourguide was a great help to make the trip to what it was!
now my body has had enough. we all collapsed more or less after the trip. we sticked together some last days in alice springs, and yesterday i flew over to perth. i dont know how long i will stay. maybe a week…and then travel north, maybe with a new tour, maybe not!
ok guys! its weird thinking about, that i was supposed to be home by now, but im glad im not! there is more to experience. i only wish i could share it with you all, better then i can through this blog…
Miss you Hans!!!
